the farewell rain
It is a rainy day and
it is telling on the need to stay and
all the time you go out to farm
you remember the dangling bridge
you remember the trees are far,
And you can not swim when the tide comes.
If I tell you the stories of swimmers
how they lost their breath
how they tried to find one tree to hold
you will stay at home.
